Yesterday (Sunday) Delirious? announced that at the end of next year they would be going on extended leave from being a band to go on and continue their own thing going in their own ways. Martin said he would like to go on a spend more time with his family and also spend more time focusing on his latest Compassion Art project. It is likly that Stu G and Jon Thatcher will focus on solo projects, Tim Jupp taking more of a management role within Furious and Paul Evans going back to playing as a session musician.
Delirious have been playing for 15 years under the name Delirious? and before that as the Cutting Edge band. After 8 studio albums, 4 live albums and many singles down the road, they have decided to call it a day.
The band have several gigs that they are already tied down to play including their October Kingdom of Comfort tour across the UK, however they have said that they are not planning to add many more (I am still expecting a Christmas gig at the Shepherd Bush Empire though)!
Thank you to Delirious? for the last 15 years of music that they have created, may it go on in a new form!
